Retention Bonus Grievance

The county responded to the Union's grievance over the date and type of payment for the July 1st retention bonus. They responded that, per their established practice of payments in regards to additional payments (i.e. the first retention bonus, the retro payment) they would not be providing either a separate check nor changing when the payments would be attributed (July 31st payday).

After speaking with our attorney's, and with a majority vote of the E-Board, we will not be pursuing a step-2 grievance. With the timelines, and the likelihood that we would lose any type of arbitration, it is more prudent to maintain the original timelines as had been discussed prior to the grievance being filed.

Members will see the retention bonus on the July 31st paystub. If you do not see it, please reach out to either a Steward or E-Board member.
