PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

Members,

I was informed by the County's communication's director that a journalist filed a public records request seeking jail rosters for the following shifts:

• May 1, E shift MICJ

• May 1-2, G shift MCIJ

• May 12, E shift MCDC

• May 12-13, G shift MCDC

• June 15, E shift MCDC

• June 15-16, G shift MCDC

• June 16, C shift MCDC

• June 21, C shift MCIJ

• June 21, E shift MCIJ

• July 19, C shift MCIJ

• July 19, E shift MCIJ

The briefing rosters contain information including: post title, name, DPSST number, work type and clock in/out times. There are no protections provided in the Oregon Public Records Law shielding this information from being released to the public. They expected to release the information before the end of the business day Friday, 8/4.

With the recent events in our facilities we have a lot of media coverage. I would advise if your social media is public I would make it a private setting. I don't have more information but wanted all of you to know and if you have questions please feel free to reach out to any of your Board members. If I get more information I will keep you updated.
