MCSO Benevolent Fund Needs You! (or at least your cans and bottles)

MCSO Employee Benevolent Fund recently joined Bottle Drop of Oregon in an effort to raise money for the fund to better serve our brothers and sisters as well as other MCSO staff. Soon you will see recycling receptacles at various MCSO buildings.  We are hoping to have some in a work place near you as soon as possible.

You can participate a few different ways.

1.  Recycle your cans and bottles in these areas, at work.

2. You can bring cans and bottles from home, (I’m happy to meet up with you to collect them or there is a bin at MCIJ for bagged cans and bottles).

3.  I can provide you with one our labeled blue bags to collect from your home.

4.  If you have a Bottle Drop Green Bag account you can go directly on line and click the "For Individuals" header, on the drop-down menu click "Make Nonprofit Donation."  Click on "Search Nonprofits" type in "MCSO" and the "MCSO Employee Benevolent Fund " will pop up.  Now you can donate from your account directly into the MCSO Employee Benevolent Fund account.

This emergency fund was established by employees of Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office for disbursement to eligible employees of MCSO, Corrections Health, and volunteers.

Contact Jen Keating if you have any bags of bottles and cans you would like to donate.

For information on contributing to the Fund, or if you need assistance, contact a Board member or MCSObenevolentfund@mcso.us
