Hiring Update – Late January, 1 confirmed, 4 pending. Next hire after 1 confirmed, 2 pending. 2023, 59 spots filled, 44 lost/separated, net gain of 15 corrections staff. Next hiring event at MCIJ is scheduled for April. If staff have ideas for recruitment events, please email ideas to jobs@mcso.us

Sergeants test – Announcement planned for January, testing the first week of March

Lieutenants Test – No plans at this time.

Mental Health – Reached out for MH availability due to SWUDS, looking for alternatives for MH due to their own staffing issues.

SWUD @ MCIJ – Added to the budget for an ask.

1% Veba – still working out – appears to have been done wrong. Will update as more info becomes available.

24 Hour Pay Status MOU - With county attorney

MOT/VMOT - Will return to status quo. This should be getting addressed. Any issues are currently being addressed by the E-Board.
