Hazard Duty Pay Update

Updated: Oct 24, 2021

As many of you are aware the E-board sent a letter to the commissioners asking for a $3500 hazard duty pay for all our members. The county has returned to us the following offer:

A $1500 hazard duty pay for those considered frontline employees which is contingent on rolling over our contract for another year, which would mean the current contract would expire June 30, 2023. The county has sent this offer to all other unions offering the same proposal. I have attached a copy of the county's proposal for review. The county has put a timeline on our response by November 1st.

The E-board has our thoughts about this proposal, but we definitely want to hear yours! Please email the E-board your thoughts no later than 10/28/2021 at 6p.m. Please know the final decision (product) will be put to a vote of the membership to either accept or deny.
