Additional PH

The County informed MCCDA that the Chair's office has been engaging with stakeholder groups to evaluate the addition of a new holiday in recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day, typically recognized on October 11th. Chair Vega Pedersen has authorized the addition of one floating holiday (FH) or personal holiday (PH - DSA/MCCDA only) for all employees. The intent is to add the new floating holiday to employee banks on November 16, 2023. I also confirmed this will be the case moving forward so we will get an additional PH November and then a total of 13 PH's added to our banks July 1st.
